Connect to CJ1 or AIMS VPN, go to RDM portal > access to Veeam backup server
Go to Guest Files Wizard or Go to Backups > Disk

Select Customer Backup Images > Right click > Select Restore guest files > Select Restore from Linux and other…

Next, select restore point

Next, configure FLR Appliance helper
***Please take noted***
1. Select the Host, make sure VM to restore is in the same Host
2. Configure Network as “VM Network“, IP Range 10.40.19.199/16 Management IP (This applied to Networkless direct restore method for management, public/private cloud)
3. Configure Network as “SD-WAN”, IP Range 10.0.2.199/24 Customer WAN IP (This applied to SCP method for public cloud customer only)

Veeam FLR will start to configure and power on

Next, Veeam will prompt file explorer for restoration
1. For Networkless direct restore method (Slow restore for larger files)
Select location or file you want to restore > right click > Copy to local server or select Restore (Overwrite or Keep (auto rename))

Next enter customer VM credential to perform file restoration

2. For SCP method (Fast restore for larger files)
SSH login to customer VM. Example: “test.txt” is missing, need to restore

SCP to Veeam FLR appliance IP 10.0.2.199 or other IP configure on helper appliance network setting
Command as below:
***Veeam FLR appliance will mount customer backup to FLR appliance on location*** > /media/cl-root/
scp root@10.0.2.199:/media/cl-root/root/test.txt restore-test.txt
Click Yes to accept RSA key to connect to Veeam FLR appliance

Enter Veeam FLR appliance IP & credential, credential can find in PAM secret server

Once enter password, file will start to restore. Example as below
