Login to SC unisphere
***Please noted that to get latest firmware update, we need to contact/email Dell support to remote health check via secure console (need call home and enable secure console on unisphere settings) before asking them to push the latest firmware to cloud SC storage
1. Go to SupportAssist > Send Data Now

2. Secure Console > Enable seucre console access

Summary > Check for Update

Please wait while storage is checking update from server (UI can close and reopen, it won’t interrupt download/install progress)

Once done Check for Update, New version will show on the dashboard and it will automatically start to download

Select Apply all update, make sure there is NO “Service Affecting”
***If Service Affecting show YES, meaning downtime will be occur during the update progress

Enter Credential to apply the update

Once done enter the credential, update will run immediately, there is no downtime on upgrade process (depending on Service Affecting section), because SC storage got 2 controller and it will update controller 1 by 1.
***Although there is no downtime but Dell recommended to update the firmware during non peak IOPS hours

Once done update, login to unisphere make sure the controller apply to latest firmware and both controller show balanced, hardware status show UP, and no alert and warning on dashboard UI. Again contact Dell support to remote health check after done updae
